Currently, we are utilizing metals, as they are seven to ten times more likely to get recycled in the current recycling system.
As our composting infrastructure improves, we will incorporate commercially compostable materials when appropriate, but we aren’t there yet.
We are not anti-plastic; we know that plastic is a versatile and high performing material that is hard to replace in all formats. We do our best to eliminate plastic, but some formulas require polymer seals to maintain shelf life. We believe that consumers just want to know the truth. If your packaging isn't plastic free, that's ok, just be honest about it and tell them how to properly recycle metal components.
